Government Know-How, Government Access
At Akin, you do not have to go far to find accomplished professionals with experience in regulatory matters. Our team includes former members of Congress, congressional staff and high-ranking agency staff. Our regulatory lawyers work closely with our top-rated public law and policy practice.
But government is not the only industry in town. We also represent the Capitol region’s busy technology, hospitality, real estate and other businesses in corporate, tax and restructuring work as sophisticated as any on Wall Street.
A Balanced Lifestyle
Our attorneys enjoy a friendly atmosphere where colleagues grab lunch together during the week and socialize on the weekends. Akin’s D.C. office was again ranked in The Washington Post by its employees as one of the capital area’s top 10 best places to work. In spring 2019, we moved to a new location in the heart of the city’s business district, adjacent to two major Metro stations. The light-filled modern design features common rooms for collaboration, cutting-edge work stations and our own roof deck.
Invested in Your Future
Partners at every level keep their doors open and take the time to mentor associates and counsel. We want you to develop as a lawyer and trusted advisor. Your assignments will be important work for important clients—with the responsibility and client contact that entails.
