Houston
The entrepreneurial spirit that defines Houston also sets the tone for our Houston office. You’ll get as much responsibility here as you can handle, including challenging matters for world-class practices.
A Dynamic Practice
From deep roots in oil and gas, our Houston practice has grown over 30 years into a key player in the modern energy industry practice. Today, we counsel both traditional and renewable energy businesses and investors on day-to-day corporate matters, cutting-edge global projects, litigation and transactions as complex as any on Wall Street. As Houston’s economy has diversified, so has our practice, serving newly arrived technology innovators, health care providers and other industry trendsetters.
Relaxed Excellence
Chosen as a Houston Chronicle Top Workplace of 2023, the office emphasizes quality of work over formalities and hierarchy. An open-door policy starts with our partner in charge and extends throughout the office, whether we are in person or remote. The overall vibe is casual but focused, with a healthy respect for family and personal time.
Transforming Our Office
In 2020, the Houston office completed a full office refresh. The renovation features modern meeting and entertaining space to host innovative trainings and events, plenty of collaborative workspaces, and—to top it off—our own in-office fitness facility and meditation room.
Control of Your Career
Houston partners encourage an entrepreneurial spirit among associates and counsel. You’ll be able to take on a high level of responsibility at a junior level and work closely with partners leading the matters. And you’ll have access to frequent, diverse training programs across the firm, from deposition prep and accounting for lawyers to business development training.
Everybody’s nice and really open. They invest in the summer program here.”
